Dining

At Alluvia, guests are spoiled for choice with some of South Africa’s finest restaurants within close proximity. The Cape Winelands is home to some of South Africa’s most well respected chef’s. Franschhoek’s High Street is undisputedly the culinary capital of the Cape Winelands providing the traveller with a multitude of exquisite restaurants and quaint coffee houses.

 Wining and Dining

The Cape Winelands is not only known for its quality grape producers, but also its abundance of fresh organic ingredients.  A combination of locally produced cheeses, Olive oils and fruits are used to create signature dishes for the Winelands restaurants. As the Winelands is close to South Africa’s abundant ocean, the freshest seafood is also a main ingredient used. Cape Winelands chef’s set their own rules to create beautiful fusions by utilizing a combination of African, English, Dutch and Cape Malay cuisine to make the mouth water.

Even with such a diverse choice on offer, many of our guests simply choose to take a brief lantern lit walk through Alluvia’s vineyards to our family’s neighbouring restaurant “Le Pommier” to enjoy an exquisite selection of South African food with a French flair and award winning wines.
